VICE-CHANCELLOR
Dear Sir,

STUDENT SIT-IN ACTION

This is to assure you that the Sit-in strike effected on the 22nd October, 1968, was an act of sympathy in support of students of the University of Ghana, Legon, in their fight against obnoxious regulations and also in protest against Police brutalities of students.

We particularly wish to emphasise that there are no underlying grievances to this action.

We fully appreciate the cordial relations between us and authority and would not resort to such measures as a means of solving any existing internal problems.

We have particularly impressed this upon the Press men we have addressed so far.

Yours faithfully,

(Sgd.) Ken Ampratwum
