Legon, Accra The University of Ghana is expected to be re-opened on July 21, this year, according to a notice from the Academic Affairs Section of the Registrar’s Offices.

Academic work at the University, like the other Universities of the country has been disrupted since January 13, owing to the following: “the clash between students and police; students demand for guarantee of safety before they returned to campus: lecturers’ withdrawal of their services in protest against the arrest of some lecturers; and the resultant suspension of teaching activities by the University authorities.

*In Nigeria, all the Universities which were closed down after students’ disturbance over lodging and feeding fees, have been reopened.
