CLOSURE OF THE UNIVERSITIES

Further to my letter No.SCR.224/Vol.2/257 of May 30th, 1977, the Head of State and Chairman of the Supreme Military Council has directed that you should announce urgently, and certainly not later than 2nd June, 1977, the latest dates on which the final year students students and, in the case of the University of Ghana, the 3rd and 4th. year medical students, are to report at the Campus for their examinations.

You are expected to make it quite clear in your announcements that anyone who fails to report on the dates specified will forfeit his place in the University and will not be accepted later by the other Universities.

Copies of your announcements are to be forwarded to this office for the information of the Head of State as soon as possible.

This confirms the wireless message already transmitted by the Secretary to the Supreme Military Council through your Regional Commissioner.
