 Dear Dr. Baffour,

AFFAIRS OF KUMASI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

As you are already aware, a Board of Enquiry has been appointed to enquire into the recent incidents in the Kumasi University of Science and Technology; the Board is also to enquire into certain other matters about which, I am sure, Mr. Quist-Therson has already notified you

  1. It was expected the Board’s work should have been completed by now; however, owing to a series of unexpectedly unfortunate circumstances this has not been the case. The Board will therefore not be able to begin its work in Kumasi before Wednesday, 13th April, 1966.
  2. In the meantime the National Liberation Council have directed me to request you to bring to the notice of all concerned, by the quickest possible means, the fact of the Board’s appointment.
  3. The National Liberation Council also wish you to tell the students to be of good behaviour and to attend classes and tutorials as usual, to comport themselves with decorum and to observe strict discipline throughout the sittings of the Board of Enquiry.
  4. I should be grateful if you would take action accordingly.

Yours sincerely,

  1. K. IMPRAIM

SECRETARY TO THE NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL
(T.K. IMPRAIM)

  1. R.P.BAFFOUR 0.B.E.

VICE-CHANCELLOR,
KUMASI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY.
