Dear Sir,
ARREST AND DETENTION OF MESSRS. REYNOLDS ASOMANING AND FELIX ABOAGYE
At an emergency meeting held this morning in connection with the continued detention of our student leaders, the Junior Common Room resolved as follows:
Bearing in mind the various reasons and principles which led us into the struggle since May, 13, 1977.
And considering the fact that our lofty aims have not been realised,
Aware of the increased suppression by the S.M.C. government, and conscious of the illegal arrest and detention of a number of citizens including certain student leaders, to wit, Messrs. Asomaning and Aboagye, the Mensah Sarbah Hall J.C.R. hero by resolve as a matter of urgency
- that Messrs. Reynolds Asomaninga and Feliz Aboagye be unconditionally released and all other persons arrested in connection with the recent referendum also be released not later than Saturday, April 22, 1978,
- that until these requests are met we the members of Mensah Sarbah Hall J.C.R. hereby again resolve that we shall be indisposed to attend lectures without our comrades.
Yours sincerely,
