The Students’ Representative Council on behalf of the entire student-body of the Specialist Training College, Winneba, wish to refute a release by the press on Wednesday May, 17, 1978 that a letter has been submitted to the government congratulating her on the referendum issue. 

Upon investigation, it has been discovered that the letter was solely composed and dispatched by the President Mr. Samuel Amoako-Attah without the knowledge of any member or group of members of the Council. 

The Council has taken view of a critical the matter and thus the following measures have been taken: 

1. The S.R.C. President Mr. Samuel Amoako-Attah has been removed from office with immediate effect. 
2. The Council and the student-body disassociate themselves from what the President stated in the letter. 
3. The entire student-body maintain our solidarity with our comrades in the universities. We hope this letter will clear our stand on the issue.
